How does the Correspondence course program work?
1. Students enroll in a correspondence course by completing an application and either paying the tuition online, mailing iit in (see tuition link to the left) or by calling the office (919) 859-2104 and paying over the phone with a debit/credit card.
2. After payment is received the course book(s) will be mailed to the address provided and an initial email is sent to students explaining the details of the course.
3. Once the student is ready for the course exam, they should contact the office for the testing options (at home with a proctor, in the Raleigh office, or during a scheduled class.) If the student chooses to test at home, under the supervision of a dis-interested, 3rd-party (called a proctor) then the examination/s will be mailed to the student via USPS. The student is then responsible for mailing the examination/s back to the office to be graded. We strongly recommend that students WAIT to sign up for the state exam after they have received their Admission Ticket.
4. Upon successful completetion of the course exam, the Admission Ticket is forwarded to the student via email and the student is "certified ." Now the student is eligible to schedule the State Exam assuming the appropriate fees have been paid.
Reminder - Correspondence course tuition is non-refundable after books have been mailed and students have SIX months to complete the course.
